Allegiant Air and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) announced today scheduled, nonstop, low-fare service beginning February 25, 2009 to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), in South Carolina. Conveniently located to Interstate highways I-20, I-26 and I-77, the airport is ideally situated to serve all of central South Carolina. Allegiant Air is offering introductory fares as low as $39* each-way to celebrate the convenient new service.
Service will operate three times weekly on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flights will depart Orlando Sanford at 6:30 p.m. and arrive at Columbia at 7:45 p.m. Return service will depart Columbia at 8:25 p.m. and arrive in Orlando Sanford at 9:35 p.m. (all flight times are local). Allegiant will utilize 150-seat, MD-80 series jet aircraft on the route.
