abertis airports

The trademark of abertis airports is the ideal combination of an efficient management model and a proven capacity for adaptation to the dynamics of its air transport enviroment. After the acquisition of the international airport management company TBI in 2005, and of the holding company Desarrollo de Concesiones Aeroportuarias in 2008, the abertis Group has openly made a commitment to the management of airport infrastructures, a business sector that possesses sustainable growth and an attractive profit/risk relationship.

A few years after the entrance of abertis into this sector, the airport business represents the third largest source of income of the Group.

In the coming years, abertis airports plans to continue growing within the airport sector using the technological know-how of TBI and based on the infrastructure investment criteria of the abertis Group, which can be described as:

  • A vocation for long-term permanence
  • Active management of infrastructures
  • Interest from majority stakes or that they be allowed to make management decisions
  • Preferential search for local partners
  • Constant cooperation with Public Authorities
  • Selective expansion
